The Developed Stair with Explanation
4 Stair Designs and Explanation:
Section 1:
This staircase is connecting the ground level to the gallery of Khyzyl Saleem. The use of a circular staircase is due to the industrial association of the cars he produces which also draws from the circular imagery of a car tyre. A material mixture such as wood and metal were made again because of the association to the industrialisation. A lift channelling up through the centre allows for the transportation of the cars between levels easily so they can move fluidly through all stages of design.
Section 2:
This staircase has the intention of being delicate and minimalistic to replicate that of Mountain and Moon, a jewellery artist. The simple cantilevered staircase, that does not expand across much space, has the material of dark wood and a simple gold handrail to compliment it. This acknowledges the relationship with the artist. A void also allows for a connection and movement between the ground floor and the basement.
Section 3:
The word to describe the section that this staircase is connecting to the ground is Dangle, with the artist of Mountain and Moon. With this word took the inspiration for the style of the staircase. Stairs that are connected and supported through a wood beam give the impression that the staircases are in full support of that beam and are therefore dangling from the ceiling. The choice of wood was because of the simplicity and to draw attention to the intention of the silhouette. Within the wood is a metal support system that allows the stair to protrude out of the wall.
Section 4:
This staircase is connecting the ground floor to the basement of Khyzyl Saleem. The spherical staircase has the intention to replicate that of a literal car tyre. The combination of steel, glass and concrete gives off the impression of industrialisation which compliments the artist and his pieces well. The interior has a concrete centre to support the structure, yet it also is displayed through glass panelling on the tread of the staircase. The steel riser compliments this.

Introduction
2a.
This series of photographs is a collection of perspective drawings
that I completed. I was given a client with a set of requirements and
preferences and was told to design a proposal for the exterior and interior of
their house. Some of their preferences for the exterior was to include large
glass portions due to the location of the property to enhance the view yet also
to have privacy from the road in front, given the long steps to the front door.
2b.
This is piece of architecture is called the Plaza de España and is located
in Seville, southern Spain. It is an iconic Spanish piece of architecture due to
it’s example of regionalism architecture.

This image shows the sky on a summer sunset in Canada. I believe the natural
mix of cool colours is something truly beautiful.
4.
